I have a question for anyone willing to answer and help me out.How did you first notice or even consider your child had this?Did you do research then talk to a doctor OR talk to the doctor first?

I am asking because I think my son *may* have ADD but I have been reading up on it,doing research and such before I ask his doctor and wanted to ask you all here and get your advice and such.

Then finally, once the school confirmed my suspicions, .I took her to a neurologist who also confirmed it and then began prescribing meds for her."

I looked and looked and found no coupons for troll food......SO, I don't feed the trolls!!

I'll tell you right off I'm against medicating however my dd's grades were so bad. She told us it was like there were 100s of things going on in her head (she said it's what she would think some one who heard voices would feel only w/ ideas). After about 3 months on the meds she said there were only 3 or 4 things bouncing in her head lol.
My DS's teacher 2 years ago insisted he had ADD and ADHD (she was SO not quilfied to tell us that). I KNEW he didn't since I already have 1 w/ it. I took him in and the Dr. said she figures the teacher is trying to control the boys and that's how some do it.
