She has been doing great with individual words, but this was the first time she put words together in sentence form. Fortunately for us, several of the adults in her life know ASL, so teaching her has been very easy. We've been on several websites learning ourselves.
She does speak very clearly, but we have always read the benefits of teaching babies ASL, so now that I am home with her most of the time, we started teaching her. There's nothing wrong w/ her, I must add, she's not deaf, however my mum has severe hearing loss and mine is mild to moderate. I'm ideally hoping to teach her 100% so that when we move we can explore peer schools for her. She did start to display slight development slowing while I had her at work with me, but selling our shop and spending time with her quickly caught her up. :)
I just wanted to share real quick, this is the first child I get to be home with and am very proud of her!!!
